Hi, I’m Gillan Starr, and I’m excited to be part of Learn Driving UK. After 22 years working in retail, I’ve built up strong skills in communication, patience, and keeping calm under pressure — all of which I now bring to my lessons.
I believe learning to drive should feel calm, clear, and focused. Together, we’ll set realistic goals, build confidence step by step, and prepare you not just to pass your test, but to drive safely and independently for life.

I am learning with Andrea and I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am that she is so patient, supportive and even hypes me up!! Had absolutely no confidence when I first got in that car but even on my second lesson I felt like I was wizzing through it!!! Can’t wait to pass and with Andreas support don’t reckon it will be that long, obviously long enough to learn everything cause I’m a bit slow but she’s great!! xxxx
Andrea Baronovsky was my instructor, and she was amazing She was extremely patient, understanding, and positive , even when I made mistakes, she found the positives. She had the tissues ready, the cough sweets were a godsend, and the ease of conversation, which made me feel so comfortable and eventually confident.
