I have worked in the driving industry for over 28 years now and have a lot of experience when it comes to learner drivers and their needs. I also have extensive customer service experience, Marketing, and Social Media skills.

It always worried me over the years how some driving schools and instructors would take advantage of pupils, delivering poor lessons, taking too much money for too long a period and not caring about the pupil’s safety and goals. Because of this reason I decided to start my own driving school with my husband Phil Hirst who is one of the leading driving instructor trainers in the country. So, Learn Driving UK was born.

We pride ourselves on having some of the best driving instructors in the country. All LDUK instructors undertake ongoing training and are qualified to the highest standards. Our driving school is built upon success, pupil success. We care about our pupils, and all are trained, not to just pass a test, but to be safe and equipped with the necessary skills they need to be confident on today’s busy roads.

Learn Driving UK is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, but we also cover Leeds, Knaresborough, Scarborough, Whitby, Pontefract, and Wakefield. Our driving instructors know their areas very well and are experienced at helping pupils of all levels. Beginners will start off on very quiet roads in quiet areas and progress at their own pace onto much busier roads.

As a team, we enjoy many social outings together, Halloween and Christmas are two of our favourite events to dress up and go out and have a good time together.

I have three grown up girls and two wonderful grandchildren, I have been married to Phil for over 25 years now and we live in a small village just outside Harrogate.

I love my job, and I am committed to making your driving experience a good one. Learning to drive is one of the most important life skills you can have, we will give you the solid foundations you need to be safe and confident.
