Hello everyone,
I’m Joe at LDUK, I have lived in Harrogate all my life, and I went to Harrogate High School. So, as you can imagine im very familiar with its roads. I learnt to drive at 17 and really enjoyed it. Now I want to make sure everyone enjoys learning to drive, regardless if you have never taken lessons before, or wanting refresher lessons, or even wanting to try another Instructor. I can accommodate any body no matter where your driving skill is currently.
As a former Postman I would hope I already look familiar to you. By being out in your community for the past three years I can say that it’s been a pleasure to get to know people from a wide range of diverse backgrounds. I’m also really looking forward to meeting you again in a teaching capacity. I am of course, looking forward to meeting new people too.
I am a very patient, non confrontational and a non judgemental instructor who will teach you at your own pace. Not only will I teach you what’s required for your driving test, I will include other things like safe driving for life. Each lesson with me will have a goal and a theme, and not only will I give you regular updates on your progress; you will be encouraged to talk and reflect on your own progress to. I will also pass responsibility over to you as soon as you’re ready for it. Meaning you will be ready for your test in no time. I look forward to meeting you.
I have gone one step further and become a specialist in dealing with students who suffer with anxiety.
If you suffer from extreme anxiety im here to help you. Some of my best driving test passes have been students who suffer from anxiety and thought they would never get behind the wheel, never mind pass their driving test.
Building trust in your instructor is very important. I will speak to you about your needs and between us we will come up with a plan to help you learn to drive, building your confidence and keeping you safe on today’s busy roads.
