Hello,​ ​I’m​ ​Rick​ ​and​ ​I​ ​am​ ​a​ ​recent​ ​member​ ​of​ ​Learn​ ​Driving​ ​UK​ ​team.​ ​

I​ ​am​ ​a​ ​married,​ ​father​ ​to​ ​2​ ​daughters​ ​and​ ​a​ ​son​ ​and​ ​have​ ​been​ ​driving​ ​for​ ​over​ ​30​ ​years.​ ​
I​ ​passed​ ​my​ ​car​ ​driving​ ​test​ ​aged​ ​18​ ​and​ ​my​ ​motorbike​ ​test​ ​aged​ ​26.​ ​I​ ​have​ ​also​ ​completed​ ​a​ ​motorbike​ ​safety​ ​course​ ​with​ ​North​ ​Yorkshire​ ​Police.​ ​

In​ ​my​ ​spare​ ​time​ ​I​ ​am​ ​restoring​ ​a​ ​motorbike,​ ​learning​ ​to​ ​play​ ​the​ ​drums​ ​and​ ​am​ ​a​ ​keen​ ​DIYer.​ ​I​ ​really​ ​enjoy​ ​just​ ​spending​ ​time​ ​with​ ​my​ ​family​ ​and​ ​our​ ​3​ ​dogs.​ ​

I​ ​have​ ​always​ ​enjoyed​ ​driving​ ​and​ ​the​ ​fantastic​ ​freedom​ ​it​ ​brings.​ ​People​ ​who​ ​know​ ​me​ ​say​ ​I​ ​am​ ​calm,​ ​patient​ ​and​ ​knowledgeable.​ ​

I gave Rick Dallaston a five star rating because of his patience and perseverance, even when I was making mistakes he was not discouraged, he kept on teaching me until I finally succeeded and passed my driving test at the first attempt. My experience was quite interesting, educative and fantastic.

How would you rate your experience with your driving instructor/LDUK? 5 out of 5 – Excellent
How did you find us? I was recommended Rick by another driving instructor.
How do you feel now that you’ve passed your driving test? I’m absolutely over the moon! Not only have I passed, but I’ve also overcome my fear of driving. I’ll definitely be returning to Rick for some refresher lessons once I get my own car.
Why did you give your instructor/LDUK the rating you did? Rick was insightful, calm, and delivered each lesson brilliantly. He allowed me to learn at my own pace and made sure I felt in control of what I wanted to focus on each session. His patience and genuine approach made him a pleasure to learn from. Unlike my previous experiences, I actually looked forward to every lesson.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about your experience with LDUK? Just a huge thank you to Rick and LDUK for helping me build confidence and finally pass my test. It’s been a transformative experience!

⁠I Found Learn Driving UK on Google. I passed first time and I now feel excited! A little nervous about the idea I can go anywhere I want by myself - but also that I have this whole new freedom to experience. Rick, you’ve been so patient and kind all the way through. I never felt like it was just about getting to the test, it’s always been about becoming a safe, confident driver. I feel like I’ve learnt so much over the time you’ve been teaching me - and we’ve had a laugh along the way too. It’s been fab. I’d recommend to anyone.

My wife recommended me to Rick based on her experience with him. Pretty excited and relieved that I passed my test at the first attempt. Well, Rick has all it takes to teach. He is wonderful with his approach, helping you to gain confidence and providing the necessary help one needs to pass. Well, I could use Rick's kind of patience in my marriage 🤣. Still wonder how he stays so calm, even in difficult situations he helps you to maneuver it professionally. Wish he can teach manual too in case I decide to change to a manual some day😁.
